About

Culinary Adventures in France

Diane Shaskin and Mark Craft have lived the French dream. They've shopped the food markets from rue Cler to Vaison-la-Romaine; dined at the best French bistros, brassieres, and restaurants; learned to cook from chefs in France and Italy; frequented the wineries of the Côtes-du-Rhône; and have cooked and eaten their way through a small fortune.

And now they share their love of the country, its food, and its people with culinary adventures in the two most treasured regions of France.
Paris to Provence Culinary Adventures take the curious traveller deep into the world of French cuisine - untouched by packaged tours and standard travel book lists - to create a unique and authentic experience.

Their book, H
ow to Cook Bouillabaisse 37 Easy Steps: Culinary Adventure in Paris & Provence (Autumn 2011) is a story of travelling, living and cooking in France. The authors share their love of La Belle France through their collection of French-inspired recipes, anecdotes, and photographs.

Diane & Mark bring a lifetime of creative and business experience to
culinary adventuring.  Before Paris to Provence, they founded Planet Organic Markets, the company that changed the face of natural food retailing in Canada.  They introduced a generation to the joys of organic food.  What started as a single store grew to ten stores across the country.  Their motto was Good Food, Good for You, Good for the Earth.  Diane is the author of The Planet Organic Market Cookbook.

Their expertise in the culinary world of France comes from a dozen years of living in and being curious travellers to Paris and Provence
.
